Sonam Kapoor set to play politician in her next

Sonam Kapoor, whose latest release ‘Khoobsurat’ (2014), is receiving rave reviews at the box office, is all set to work on her second project based on popular writer Anuja Chauhan’s book.

According to Filmfare, Kapoor in her next will play the role of a politician. The actress has recently bought the rights of Chauhan’s book, ‘Battle For Bittora’, which is a love story between two aspiring politicians from opposing parties. Talking about the project Kapoor said, “I can’t wait to start working on it. It has an interesting premise.”

Earlier, in ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013) Kapoor had played the role of a girl active in politics in college.
