Sonam Kapoor is not part of the Box Office race

Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, set the Box Office on fire this Diwali. The film roped in some very impressive figures but��leading lady Kapoor claims she is not part of the Box Office race.

Speaking to DNA India, Kapoor said,��”I have always been away from this box office race. I don�۪t understand numbers… My brother Harsh follows it more than I do. I just asked him, ��Is this actually good?�۪ He told me, ���It�۪s brilliant, didi! what�۪s wrong with you?�۪ For me, people liking the film and it doing well, matters because we make it for them to watch it. I might not understand the box office part of a film�۪s success but I do understand that if people are talking about your film, messaging positive things after watching the film, that�۪s the greatest feeling ever.”

The actress is content with the positive reviews her performance in the film gained her. She is also glad to have had a strong role in the film and not “just another actress who’s romancing Salman Khan”.

Kapoor is now looking forward to the release of Atul Kasbekar’s ‘Neerja’.
