Sonam Kapoor hopes Deepika Padukone has fun at Cannes

When it comes to red carpets, Sonam Kapoor is one name everyone looks out for. And with the infamous Cannes Film Festival now on, one would think she’d be up in arms about what to wear. However, the situation is quite the contrary, as she expressed how she wants to have fun and hopes the same for her peer Deepika Padukone, who will be attending for the first time.

“I hope she has a good time,” Times of India reports Kapoor expressing when asked about Padukone’s attendance.

Talking about what advice she would give, she explained, “I don’t think I should be giving any advice to someone who has already walked several international red carpets.”

Talking about her own preparation, Kapoor expressed that she also wants to enjoy being there rather than being worried about what she will be wearing. “I just believe in being myself. My sister styles me, but we haven’t really prepped that much this time. We have a brand that we are launching, I am shooting for two films, she is making ‘Veere Di Wedding’. For the past couple of years we decided not to pressurise ourselves and just have a good time and we have got the best reviews because of it. So we don’t think about it too much. It’s not about the status quo, status symbol of being on the red carpet,” the actress expressed.

Despite her humble statement, with a stylist like her sister Rhea Kapoor, she will sure rock the red carpet in something unusual and out-of-the-box.
