Sonam Kapoor: “Bebo wants to be on social media”

Bollywood actress and fashionista, Sonam Kapoor has been rocking this year’s Cannes Film Festival and whilst there, she told Anupama Chopra things about social media.

Asked why certain stars stay away from social media, Kapoor was cited in PinkVilla saying, “Bebo wants to be on it. I know that she does! She has got people handling stuff for her. Poonam’s (Bebo’s manager) on it, Lolo’s on the app. There is always some chatter about them. Everything is on social media. Being a celebrity, does not mean that you need to be mysterious and out of reach. I need to be aspirational and inspirational. I hope that young girls get inspired by stars who are not afraid to be themselves. If I showcase that through my social media, it is good. I want people to know when I walk the red carpet that it is just a young girl who loves eating chocalates and has body issues. It is human and I feel like it is important for people to know that.”

Kapoor recently witnessed success with her last release ‘Neerja’ in February.
