Sonam Kapoor asked to shed the kilos for ‘Khubsoorat’ remake

Sonam Kapoor has had a good year so far what with success with ‘Raajhanaa’ and also ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. News has it that sister Rhea, who is producing the movie, has asked her to lose some weight for their forthcoming remake of the 1980’s ‘Khubsoorat’.

A source spoke to Deccan Chronicle, “This is Sonam�۪s first�� film shoot schedule this year after ‘Raanjhaana’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. She plays a dazzling beauty from Bikaner ���which is where the film starts. It is the first Bollywood film to be shot in Bikaner.”

“She plays a physiotherapist in the film and will be undergoing a vigorous workout regimen to lose six kilos at least. The filmmakers want her to look lean for the character she is portraying,” continued the source.

1980’s ‘Khubsoorat’ starred Rekha in the lead role. No doubt it will be interesting to see Kapoor reprise the same character.
