The film was praised with kind words, and actress Sonakshi Sinha was much appreciated for her performance inVikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Lootera’ (2013). So it’s no surprise that the actress has expressed her dismay that the film hadn’t been nominated for many of the categories in this year Star Screen Awards.

Through social media site Twitter, Sinha stated, “Disheartening how ‘Lootera’has been held back from most of the nominations this year. Didn’t they call it a masterpiece, poetry in motion, world-class and technically superior film when it released? That seems like qualification enough to be out there.”

Sinha’s nomination for best actress was the only one that the film was included for. Touching on this the actress went on to tweet, “Not nominating Vikramaditya for Best Director, Ranveer (Singh) for acting, Amit Trivedi for music, (Mahendra) Shetty for cinematography, Aditya (Kanwar) for art, Subarna (Ray Chaudhuri) for costumes, Amitabh (Bhattacharya) for lyrics makes my nomination feel so out of place.”

Regardless of what the verdict of the film was, Sinha expressed how proud she is to be a part of the film, “this is a very special film, (I) will always be proud of ‘Lootera’whether or not they acknowledge us,” she went on to tweet.
