Sonakshi Sinha set to star in her first biopic based on Indian Paralympic Deepa Malik?

Sonakshi Sinha has hinted that she may be doing a biopic based on the life of Indian Paralympic and Silver Medalist Deepa Malik.

Reported by Deccan Chronicle, Sinha who didn’t reveal much when asked about the project, said, “It is a speculation for now. I don’t like to talk about things until I sign on the dotted lines, so let it be speculation for now. But I promise you henceforth the scripts that I will choose will be very interesting.”

The ‘Kalank’ (2019) actress shared that she has always wanted to do a biopic, “I have been wanting to do a biopic for a very long time, and if I get the right one and if I get the story that’s really worth telling then I would jump for it.”

Describing the time Sinha met Malik, the ‘Dabangg’ (2010) actress said, “I met Deepa Malik and she is a lovely lady. What a strong-willed woman, even in that one conversation I could tell. She is on a wheelchair, and not once did she make me feel anything negative, because sometimes you bend to click a picture, but she stood tall. That’s how proud a woman she is; she is a great lady.”

Malik became the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympics. She was presented with the Arjuna Award in 2012, at the age of 42, and was felicitated with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2017.
