Having tasted the item-girl glam in ‘OMG! Oh My God’ (2012) with Prabhu Deva with Go Go Govinda, it seems Sonakshi Sinha is all set for her second item number. BizAsia has learnt that she will be seen in the forthcoming ‘Himmatwala’ in a special disco themed song.

The track is named Thank God It’s Friday and will have an 80s feel which the full works including disco balls. The song’s picturisation will be taking inspiration from Jawani Jaaneman in ‘Namak Halaal’ (1982).

The song will be the beginning of the film and Sinha’s costumes will be designed by popular designer Manish Malhotra. The song has been sung by the acclaimed Sunidhi Chauhan and is the sole song of the album which is composed by Sachin-Jigar whereas the rest of the album will be Sajid-Wajid’s compositions.

It is thought that the song will feature some 100 dancers and 400 extras. The film stars Ajay Devgn and popular South actress Tamannaah.
