Sonakshi Sinha: “It was really exciting to be re-uniting with Salman Khan”

With the trailer of her next release already being the talk of the town due to the long list of cameos, audiences will be excited to know Salman Khan will also be a part of that list, in Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Welcome To New York’. And it seems she had the most fun with him.

Sharing the screen together in a song, Sinha caught up with the media and spoke about working with Khan again, as well as the development of the ‘Dabangg’ franchise. “It was really exciting to be re-uniting with Salman for our third film together after ‘Dabangg’ (2010) and ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012). We shot the song entirely in New York. It was nostalgic in many ways, the romantic, melodious song has been filmed beautifully,” Pune Mirror reports the actress staying.

Confirming her part in the third ‘Dabangg’ addition, she went on to reveal, “I’m definitely a part of the next film in the Dabangg franchise. We start shooting this summer and our recent song together only makes me more excited about ‘Dabangg 3’.”

Talking of working with such Diljit Dosanjh in ‘Welcome To New York’, Sinha expressed, “He’s a really talented actor and his comic timing is impeccable. He had so much to bring to the table and it was such a wonderful experience filming with him. We were constantly feeding off each other’s energies.”

Directed by Chakri Toleti, Sinha went on to add, “The film is about two youngsters who land up in New York for an awards ceremony and the rollercoaster ride that follows is all about love and laughter, songs and masti.”
