Sonakshi Sinha not a part of ‘Housefull 4’

There has been speculation around Sonakshi Sinha joining the cast of ‘Housefull 4’, but Sajid Khan has confirmed that this is untrue.

Reported on Deccan Chronicle,  Khan isn’t sure where all the rumours about Sinha being in ‘Housefull 4’ have come from.  “I haven’t even met her, let alone offer her a role.”

Khan has said they intend to bring back the entire cast back from the previous three films. “Yes, that’s right. We intend to bring back the entire cast from the earlier Housefull films. Of course, Jiah Khan is no longer with us, God bless her soul. But all the rest are on.”

Talking about where the idea for the film came from, Khan said it didn’t take long to put together. “I just thought that we’ve seen so many serious, intense, romantic films on the theme of reincarnation. Why not a funny take on punar janam? My writers cracked the idea in no time; I thought it would take them a year to come up with a terrific plot.”

After ‘Housefull 2’ (2012), Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala had fall out, which led to ‘Housefull 3’ (2016) being co-directed by Nadiadwala and Farhad Samji. But, the original duo are now back together, putting their difference aside. Khan believes in letting bygones be bygones.

‘Housefull 4’ is slated to release Diwali 2019.
