‘Welcome’ (2007) will be getting a sequel, BizAsia reported not long ago. There was also confirmation that the hunky John Abraham would be male lead in the movie as opposed to Akshay Kumar. It has now emerged that Sonakshi Sinha has been cast opposite Abraham in the forthcoming sequel.
Rumour has it that Kainaat Arora has also bagged a role in the film, replacing Mallika Sherawat. Incidentally, Abraham had expressed a desire to work with Sinha and it seems he will now be able to do just that.
‘Welcome 2’ will be directed by Anees Bazmee who directed the first instalment. Reports also suggest that Amitabh Bachchan will be replacing Feroz Khan in the movie. The film is set to go on the floors next month.
