Sonakshi Sinha: “If I become skinny, what’s the point?”

Sonakshi Sinha - debut single 340x

Over the years, there has undoubtedly been a lot of pressure on celebrities to project the perfect body image. Sonakshi Sinha, who has always been taggedas the girl next door, says she has already lost enough weight and does not see the point in becoming “skinny”.

In her interview with Filmfare, Sinha said, “Today if anybody has been targeted for being a certain way, it’s me. But I don’t let it get to me. I know what is more important is that I project a healthy body image for girls who look up to me. Tomorrow if I become skinny, what’s the point? I won’t be able to work well. I’ll fall sick all the time. I know that’s not my body structure, not my body type. I’ve worked very hard to look the way I look today. I used to weigh 95 kilos. What more do you want from me?”

Sinha went on to add that she had faced bullying during her school days due tobeingoverweight, which has been her “training ground” to handle people.

Onthe work front, the actress, who was last seen in ‘Tevar’ (2015), will next be seen in A R Murugadoss’ ‘Akira’ and Abhinay Deo’s’Force 2′.
