Sonakshi Sinha: “My closest friends keep me grounded”

Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way since she debuted in 2010’s ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan. Though she’s had her fair share of ups and downs, the actress is now gearing up for the third instalment of the franchise, which will be directed by Prabhudheva. Despite her successes, however, Sinha is sure to know that it isn’t all about fame and glory, and she has a fair few people who remind her of that.

“My closest friends are not from the industry, and they keep me grounded. They always keep it real with me,” Asian Age reports the actress explain.

As well as her friends, her mother also plays a huge part in Sinha’s humble character, as she went on to say, “My mother is my biggest critic. If she likes my work, she will praise me, and if she doesn’t, she’ll be the first person to tell me. So she gives me my dose of reality checks.”

Talking of working with Prabhudheva again, the actress expressed how much she is looking forward to it. “I am thrilled. It’s like going back to home base for me, it’s such a pleasure to work with the Dabangg team. Prabhu sir is joining us this time, and I have worked with him in the past, so it will be amazing. I can’t wait to start working on the project.”
