Sonakshi signed for ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ sequel

Despite having just one film to her credit (‘Dabangg’ (2010)), Sonakshi Sinha is clearly on a roll. After failing to lock down Kareena Kapoor۪s dates for the sequel to the 2010 smash hit ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, Bollywood Hungama confirms that the makers have finally decided to cast Sinha in the coveted role instead.

The film sees Sonakshi pair up with Akshay Kumar for their third film together after ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and ‘Joker’ – both of which are due to release later this year.Rumour has it thatthe film is based on yesteryear actress Mandakini and her turbulent and controversial liaison with a gangster Dawood Ibrahim (played by Kumar). The film is set to roll in August, and also stars Imran Khan.
