Sona Mohapatra hits back at Vishal Dadlani for silence on #MeToo

Vishal Dadlani is quite active on social media, where he expresses his views strongly. However, with this comes backlash which is something he has recently experienced. After tweeting his views on the Maharashtra government, he received a telling reply from singer Sona Mohapatra accusing him of not speaking out against his reality show co-host Anu Malik, when he was accused of sexual misconduct.

“U know what’s even more incredible? That U continue to give gyaan about ‘apathy’ to people who do not have 1 ounce of your money, power! These 99% struggle every day. U don’t & yet choose to SAY & DO nothing about multiple accused #MeToo co-judge Anu M on #IndianIdol ?Hypocrite much?,” read Mohapatra’s statement on Twitter.

Malik was accused of sexual harassment by a number of women from the industry back in 2018. He was pulled from the reality singing show ‘Indian Idol’ as a judge and kept a low profile. Now back in the show, many connected with the show have received a lot of flak for allowing him to return.
