Soha Ali Khan raises �100,000 towards charity for the blind

Celebrities are known for giving a part of their hard earned salary towards the greater good of charity. Actress Soha Ali Khan decided to do just that in a different way and managed to get others involved in a cause too.

News has it that the actress helped raise �100,000 at a recent charity dinner held in London. The proceedings raised will go towards��the Pataudi Trust, a charity that supports research to cure the blind in India. Through micro-blogging site Twitter, Khan expressed, “What a fantastic night! We raised 100,000 pounds which will all go towards eradicating curable blindness in India. Heartfelt gratitude.”

She went onto add, “We are eternally grateful to Jeffrey Archer (British author) for making tonight such a huge success. Thank you. You helped us raise 100,000 pounds.” If anything, Khan is definitely showing a very inspirational way to raise more money for those charities that help the less fortunate.
