Soha Ali Khan chooses voting over IIFA 2014

With the stars of the Indian film fraternity caught between attending the most prestigious award ceremony of the industry in the USA or attending the polls to vote for their country, there is much debate as to who will choose what.

One actress however is very sure where her appearance will be present, and Soha Ali Khan is keen to spread the word of voting for India. “I am here in Mumbai on April 24, the voting day in Mumbai. I had got many other invites in the month of April. I also had got an invitation for IIFA, but I am not going anywhere because voting is my priority.”

Many celebrities who are flying to the US, have been accused of choosing an award ceremony over their country. When asked about this, Khan went onto say, “I can’t speak for others but I will certainly encourage everyone to vote.”

The IIFA’s will take place in Tampa Bay, Florida from 23-26 April, while the elections continue throughout this month.
