The e-commerce site Snapdeal is in not going to renew their contract with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador for the second term, reports suggest.

According to Absolute India, Khan had signed a one-year contract with Snapdeal. The contract ends this month and that the company will not renew it. This reportedly comes as a result of the actor’s remarks over growing intolerance in India.

Snapdeal said, “Snapdeal is neither connected nor plays a role in comments made by Aamir Khan in his personal capacity. Snapdeal is a proud Indian company built by passionate young Indians focused on building an inclusive digital India.”

Recently, Khan was dropped out from the ‘Incredible India’ campaign whereas Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra were named as its new ambassadors.
