According to India Today, while the two parties have reached an agreement to avoid any further action, Karni Sena has demanded that the film’s name should be changed. The report adds that the group do not want any history of ‘Padmavati’ to be distorted and neither do they want any intimacy in film.

Karni Sena claim that A certain romantic sequence between Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) and Rani Padmini (Deepika Padukone) had never happened in history and that it would be an insult if it was included in the final cut. The film’s team have denied any such scene was going to be included.
