It was only a matter of time before film producers lapped up the idea of making a film on the recent tensions between India and Pakistan.
DNA India reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Abhishek Kapoor, Mahaveer Jain and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, may come together to produce a flm on the Balakot Air Strikes held by IAF on Pakistan terror camps.
Reports indicate that there has been a flurry of interest in patriotic working titles with the Indian Pictures’ Producers Association (IMPPA). Some of the titles already registered are: ‘Balakot’, ‘Surgical Strikes 2.0’, ‘Pulwama Attacks’ amongst many others.
Mumbai Mirror reports a source saying, “It will be our tribute to the nation. After the gutless terror attack in Pulwama, the IAF surgical strike at Balakot was a well-planned, 100 per cent successful operation which hit the enemy targets with precision. It is an honour to bring this story on the big screen so that we, as Indians, can revel in our national pride.”
A number of A-list actors are already being linked to the project. However, no confirmation could be reach at the time of filing this article.
