Sky Sports will bring viewers some of the biggest names in cricket during its coverage of the ICC Cricket World Cup, including Jacques Kallis and V.V.S.Laxman.

To give fans wall to wall cricket programming throughout the six week tournament, Sky Sports 2 will become Sky Sports World Cup۪. In addition to exclusively live coverage of the tournament, the dedicated channel will offer highlights throughout the day for fans to catch up on all of the action overnight.

The opening night in the studio starts at 8pm for a two hour preview show before Sri Lanka and New Zealand, when Ian Ward will be joined by Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan, as well as talking to Shane Warne in Melbourne. For the second match of the night, when England take on Australia, David Gower will be alongside Jason Gillespie and Andrew Strauss.

The channel launches at 6am on Friday 13th February with a series of World Cup classics with many more to come throughout the six weeks, before three time World Cup winner, Adam Gilchrist, shares his World Cup memories and the methods that made him so successful.

Bryan Henderson, Sky Sports executive producer cricket, said, We۪ve got a fantastic line up for fans from the first to the last day of the tournament on our dedicated Sky Sports World Cup channel. As well as every minute of action, some of the world۪s top former players will be joining our studio team to share their views and for those that can۪t catch it live, we۪ll have plenty of highlights on the channel the next day, as well as news and analysis across our digital platforms.۝
