After boosting the reach of ZEE Network and Sony Pictures Networks channels in the UK, Sky has confirmed that it will make available On Demand content of the two broadcasters this year.
While details are currently sketchy on what exactly will be available, BizAsiaLive.com understands that various shows from ZEE TV and Sony Entertainment Television will for the first time be accessible on the service. Up until now, Star Plus has been the only Asian TV broadcaster on the On Demand platform.
A statement from Sky said, “…For the first time, ZEE and Sony’s most popular shows will be available On Demand this autumn, allowing customers to catch up on their favourite series whenever and wherever they want.”
ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Punjabi, &TV, Zing, Sony TV, Sony MAX, Sony Mix, Sony SAB TV, MTV Beats, B4U Movies and B4U Music joined the Sky basic pack today, which means the named channels are available to all Sky customers for the first time.
