Sky confirms Sky Asia Pack changes

As revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com last year, Sky Asia Pack changes this summer have been confirmed by Sky.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that Sky’s customer services have begun informing subscribers of the changes that will see Sky Asia Pack channels enter the Sky Original Pack from Tuesday 1st August. ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Punjabi, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony MAX, Sony Mix and B4U Movies will join Star Plus, Star Gold, Life OK and Star Utsav in the basic pack. Currently, Sky Asia Pack customers are forking out £15 extra per month. This means the above named channels will be available to Sky customers at the basic pack price (currently £22.00).

Sky customer services confirmed that it will not be taking on any new subscribers for the Sky Asia Pack from Friday 16th June. Existing Sky Asia Pack customers will begin receiving communication about the changes from Sunday 18th June 2017.

BizAsiaLive.com is also aware that Sky Original Pack will see a slew of other Asian TV channels join the pack, with a couple of existing free channels going behind the encryption window. There’s also plans for ZEE Network and Sony Pictures Networks to introduce more new channels this summer, which will further boost the Sky Original Pack.
