Sky Asia Pack channels to enter Sky’s basic pack in August?

After BizAsiaLive.com ’s exclusive scoop last year, it now is looking ever likely that the existing Sky Asia Pack channels will enter the basic Sky Original Pack from August.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that Sky and broadcasters – ZEE Network, Sony Pictures Networks and B4U Network have reached a provisional agreement for the move. This will ultimately result in the axing of the poorly performed, Sky Asia Pack in July. Channels including ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Punjabi, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony MAX and soon-to-launch Sony Mix, along with B4U Movies, will be available to Sky customers at no extra cost when taking out a basic Sky subscription.

BizAsiaLive.com also understands that a couple of other free-to-air services may join the Sky Original Pack but details of this are yet to confirmed by the broadcasters in question.

Subscribers of the Sky Asia Pack will reportedly be notified of changes from early July. The channels are expected to join the Sky Original Pack from around Tuesday 1st August.

Keep it with BizAsiaLive.com for more as we wait Sky to officially announce the changes.
