Sky agrees takeover by Star TV India owner
Sky plc has agreed a takeover deal by 21st Century Fox, owner of Indian TV broadcaster, Star TV.
According to Sky News, the terms of the formal offer would mean Fox paying £11.7 billion or £10.75 per share, for the 61% of Sky it does not already own. This will give Rupert Murdoch full control over the media giant. Currently Sky holds a 61 percent stake in the company. With this deal, Murdoch’s media empire will stretch across USA, UK and Europe.
