Sir Keir Starmer warned over ban on Labour MPs at Sikh events in UK
Labour MPs may face exclusion from Sikh events across the UK if Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer fails to announce an inquiry into the alleged British role in the Golden Temple massacre and other “anti-Sikh measures” reportedly supported by India during the Thatcher government.
According to a letter obtained by Sky News, the Sikh Federation has issued a nine-day ultimatum, calling on Starmer to confirm a timeline for a judge-led inquiry by 31st July.
The Federation insists that a probe was pledged during last year’s general election campaign and continues to press for action, citing longstanding concerns among the Sikh community.
