Singer KK passes away while performing in Kolkata

Singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath) has passed away while performing in Kolkata.

It is reported the 53-year-old singer suffered a heart attack. He was performing a concert at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata.

A hospital statement said, “ Singer KK was brought dead to our hospital. The body has been kept in our mortuary for the night and has already been formally handed over to the police.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led tributes to the singer. He tweeted, “ Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
