Simply STAR teams up with BizAsia.co.uk
STAR TV has announced that BizAsia.co.uk will be hosting the STAR News Zone at their upcoming consumer event, Simply STAR.
Simply STAR is an exciting, one-day, ticketed event being held on Saturday 12th September, at Oldbillingsgate, London, that will give South Asians the opportunity to enjoy and experience the world of STAR. Simply STAR is a first of its kind consumer event in the UK hosted by STAR TV. the UK�۪s leading provider for Asian entertainment.
Each STAR channel will be brought to life through four dedicated zones – STAR One, STAR News, STAR Gold and STAR Plus ��� that will recreate the on-air look feel of each STAR channel.
BizAsia.co.uk, the UK’s only Asian media news website, will host the STAR News Zone. This association will see Co-Founder and Editor of the site, Raj Baddhan host the STAR News Zone alongside popular newsreader and sports anchor of STAR News, Siddharth Sharma.
Visitors of the event will be able to interact with Siddharth and pose questions to him about his experience on the channel. The STAR News Zone will also be the only area at the event where the consumer will have the opportunity to interact with the UK celebrities.
Visitors will be able to ask pose questions to the stars by sitting on a ‘hot-seat’. Like the STAR News Zone, every part of the event will be filmed and later telecast on the STAR TV channels.

Stars attending the event include Signature (runners up from Britain’s got Talent 2008), Shin from DCS, Rishi Rich, H-Dhami, Mumzy, Heera and Navin Kundra, as well as famous STAR TV personalities such as Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan of ‘Bidaai’ (The most popular drama series on Indian television) and Sunil Pal, the laughter king from STAR One’s ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’.
Simply STAR will consist of a morning session from 11:00 until 14:00 and an evening session from 17:00 until 20:00. Each session will culminate with a concert style free standing grand finale which will consist of performances from some of the creme de le creme of UK Asian talent including H Dhami, Jaz Dhami, Signature.
