Sikh TV begins broadcasting on Sky Digital

The much awaited launch of Sikh TV has taken place on the Sky Digital platform today.

The free-to-air service has replaced Faith World +1 on Sky channel 585. On Monday (4th October), Sikh TV will move to its permanent home, Sky channel 848.

As revealed exclusively before on BizAsia.co.uk, Sikh TV will specialise in religious and Punjabi cultural shows including the telecast of kabaddi.

Sikh TV is holding a religious inauguration of the channel at the Akal Tak Sahib in India this weekend. Highlights of which will be shown on the channel in the coming days.

Sikh TV has become the third channel dedicated to the Sikh religion after Sikh Channel and Sangat TV. Sikh TV will be run by former employees of the Sikh Channel.
