Sikh Channel goes off-air on Sky Digital
Popular Sikh religious broadcaster, Sikh Channel has abruptly been taken off-air.
The channel, which has been running since 2009, has been dependent on donations from viewers. Even though the channel had been scrolling messages for urgent donations, the situation did not seem so bad. However, this is the first time the Sikh Channel has been forced off-air – most probably due to the lack of funding. Or another reason could be down to a technical glitch. The channel is still broadcasting via its website.
BizAsia was awaiting a response from The Sikh Channel about the sudden departure. It was available on Sky channel 840.
