The Sikh Channel ends BARB deal

The UK’s first Sikh religious television service, The Sikh Channel will no longer be reporting official audience data.

The Sikh Channel has had a steady viewership of over 200,000 viewers but it witnessed a decline after competition from Akaal Channel. Despite the competition, The Sikh Channel remained the leader in its genre up until recently. Kantar Media has confirmed that The Sikh Channel ceased BARB reporting on Thursday 2nd March.

Meanwhile, Brit Asia TV has also temporarily come off BARB due to an internal decision.
