Sikander Kher calls fiance Priya Singh “a blessing”

Sikander Kher, who recently got engaged to Priya Singh, has not always been one to stay in the limelight. However, he has called his now fiance a blessing.

Talking to the New Indian Express, he spoke about the engagement ceremony, “It was a private ceremony with family. It was wonderful and it is something I dreamt of with Priya for many years. She is a blessing to me from the universe.” When asked whether the date for the wedding was fixed, Kher replied, “No date has been fixed yet.”

Kher spoke about his transformation for the role in his next ‘Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive’, “I don�۪t think a role like this has been written for an actor till now. I consider myself very lucky to have got this part. Where do you get a chance to become a white person who becomes a brown guy when in fact you are a brown person? It was pretty challenging. And I had to go bald for this film. Abhishek (Sharma, the director) also asked me to put on 16 to 18 kilos!”

He also divulged about doing comedy, “I always wanted to do comedy and this is my chance. The little work that I have done so far has all been serious ��� I have played negative characters too. I was looking for a humorous script which I could connect with; my humour is a bit whacked out. When I met Abhishek, he told me one line of the script and I burst into laughter. It really tickled my funny bone. This role is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it is an out-of-the-box film.”
