Sidharth Malhotra will not make scandalous statements for attention

Sidharth Malhotra

Over the years, the developmentof social media has brought in a lot of change for Bollywood, celebrities and the promotion of movies. Actor SidharthMalhotra feels that while social media is a great platform to share views, it is disturbing to see people makestatementsabout a cause just to be noticed.

HindustanTimes quote Malhotra as saying, “I think it۪s a personal call. You must (give an opinion), if you purely, truly feel for it. I think for me, the main question is, are you doing it just to get noticed or are you doing it because you genuinely feel for the cause?”

He went on to say, “If it۪s something that affects you and moves you, then, of course, go ahead. It۪s (social media) made for that very purpose. Whether you۪re a normal citizen or a celebrity, it۪s made to give your view point. But if you۪re just saying something scandalous to get more retweets or get noticed, then I find that a bit disturbing because then you۪re just disrespecting the cause.”

Currently Malhotra has 2.67 Million followers on his Twitter account, @S1dharthM.

On the work front, Malhotra will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ ‘Kapoor & Sons’, which also stars Rishi Kapoor, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt.
