Sidharth Malhotra on doing TV shows

While his colleagues Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez are juggling both television and film, Sidharth Malhotra is not keen to explore the world of the small screen just yet.

Malhotra went on to explain why he’s not ready to attempt anything other than films at the moment. “I’m too obsessed with proving myself in movies right now — taking up different genres, getting bigger films and telling better stories.”

The ‘Kapoor & Sons’ (2016) star went on to point out, “I don’t have the time to do TV.” He is currently working on ‘A Gentleman’ with Fernandez and ‘Ittefaq’ opposite Sonakshi Sinha, reports DNA India. However, Malhotra believes in never-say-never and is open to the idea of hosting a TV show someday. He said, “Television has a great reach and market, and you get to connect with your audience every day.”

However, he insists that he would never fully close the door on the medium, and is very clear about that, “You need to find something that will match your personality.” He explained what might catch his attention. “Something with outdoor sports, that’s physical or adventurous.” A stunt-based reality show would be a match but he said, “That has been done too many times (laughs). So maybe, we can start a new franchise altogether.”

Malhotra also expressed his willingness to doing a web series. ”If there’s a role, I would love to give it a try,” he concludes.
