Sidharth Malhotra says that “Students” belong to Karan Johar

‘Student of the Year’ (2012), produced by Karan Johar’s��Dharma Productions��gave us three rising newcomers, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt. While the three are doing very well in their careers, Malhotra seems to be a very hot favorite amongst Dharma, as he is working with them for the third time. Although, Malhotra has no qualms about it.

In an interview to the Hindustan Times, Malhotra reiterated that there is nothing wrong with being Johar’s favorite, as he, Dhawan, and Bhatt were launched by him and their talent does belong to his company. He said, “What is wrong with that? Karan’s production company is one of the biggest right now. Also, people forget that we (him, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan), as talents, belong to his company. We were launched so that we could do films with the company. I am extremely lucky that I have people like Karan guiding me. He has given me this career. He is the reason I am here.”

Malhotra was last seen in Dharma Productions’ ‘Brothers’ (2015), and is currently shooting for ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ also produced by Dharma Productions and Excel Entertainment. Dhawan and Bhatt will also be working with Dharma again, for the much talked about ‘Shuddhi’.
