Sidharth Malhotra reacts to Fawad Khan stealing limelight in ‘Kapoor & Sons’

Fawad & Sidharth in 'Kapoor & Sons'

Dharma Productions’ ‘Kapoor & Sons’ took the audience and critics by pleasant surprise, as it opened to fantastic reviews and positive Box Office results. While the entire team have been praised for their work, it seems Fawad Khan has walked away with maximum praise. Sidharth Malhotra was recently asked about how this made him feel.

When asked by DNA India how he would react to reports of Fawad Khan stealing the limelight in the film, Malhotra said, “Somebody told me that the film was more from my perspective than the others. Everybody has the right to interpret the movie the way they want to. None of us would have worked if it was bad. If Fawad’s character wouldn’t have worked, the film would have fallen flat, the same is true about my character. As I said, the film worked as a whole. We have all done our bits correctly and hence we are getting love at the Box Office. As far as I am concerned, I never got a biased reaction, so that’s a first for me.”

The Shakun Batra directed film starred Khan and Malhotra alongside Alia Bhatt, Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak.

It can be noted that in his career thus far, Malhotra has not hesitated in acting in two hero projects. Prior to ‘Kapoor & Sons’, he was also seen sharing screen-space with Varun Dhawan in ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012), Riteish Deshmukh in ‘Ek Villain’ (2014) and Akshay Kumar in ‘Brothers’ (2015).
