Sidharth Malhotra on the lesser pressures of ‘Ittefaq’ remake

Sidharth Malhotra will be reprising Rajesh Khanna’s role in ‘Ittefaq’, the original film which released in 1969. The actor has said he doesn’t feel the pressure of stepping into the veteran actor’s shoes.

Talking to PTI, Malhotra said, “It is an adaptation and not a direct remake of ‘Ittefaq’. There are changes made to the story so it reduces the pressure of filling in the shoes of mega and huge superstar like Rajesh Khanna ji”.

Malhotra admits to being a big fan of Khanna’s, “I am very excited about doing this film. I am a big fan of him and his films. One film of his that I have liked the most is ‘Anand'”.

“It is a genre one hasn’t seen in a while. I haven’t done murder mystery so I am looking forward to it,” he concluded.

Malhotra was last seen in ‘Baar Bar Dekho’ last year.
