Sidharth Malhotra not interested in “wooing the girl”

After starting his career in an out-and-out commercial love triangle, Sidharth Malhotra has been dabbling in various other genres. ��The actor says he is more interested in challenging himself, playing different characters, than anything similar to what he has already done.

In an interview with Filmfare, Malhotra spoke about his recent roles saying, “They all have been a bit off. ��I think I like that. ��For me, playing a wimp (‘Hasee Toh Phasee’) or a role with grey shades (‘Ek Villain’) sounds better than playing a character wooing the girl. ��The story seems more interesting and attractive when I am playing a character that I haven’t.”

The young star also went on to add that he is not concerned or ashamed about the fact that most of his movies are being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, who also launched him.

Malhotra was most recently seen in ‘Brothers’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. ��He is now working on ‘Kapoor & Sons’, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan.
