Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani head to Kargil for ‘Shershaah’

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani who will be seen in the forthcoming Vikram Batra biopic – ‘Shershaah’, will be heading to Kargil to film the next schedule.

Reported on DNA India, Malhotra and Advani have already completed the first schedule in Chandigarh, India, which was followed by a short spell in Dharamshala. The second half will commence following the celebrations of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th June, which will be attended by both actors. A source shared, “Sidharth and Kiara will kick off the shoot after the celebrations and will also spend some time with the soldiers. While Sidharth will stay on for at least a month to film war sequences, Kiara’s portions will be wrapped up earlier.”

Batra fought for India, against Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil War, was posthumously awarded with the Paramvir Chakra and this year marks the 20th anniversary of the war. ‘Shershaah’ is being directed by Vishnu Varadhan and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, and slated to release in 2020.
