With hisfirst two filmsseeing himplay the typical loving chocolate hero, Sidharth Malhotra is all set in promoting his next project ‘Ek Villain’, where he will be playing a much darker character. Talking to the media, Malhotra has expressed that the role gave him the chance to releasea few of his own demons.

“It was very liberating, there was full freedom to break things, scream at people shout which you don`t get to do in real life at all actually. I could live and take out all my anger of my past 29 years. Be it my Delhi-Mumbai issues, coming to Mumbai, surviving in the industry giving auditions, all kind of issues, parental issues so I thought it was very therapeutic,” ZEE News reported the actor stating.

Still fairly new to the industry, some feel that Malhotra has taken a big risk in doing a film this unconventional so early on in his career.”I think it was luck that it came up to me and I got this opportunity. When I heard the script there was so new for me to do. It was so alien of what I have done or what I am in real life. So there is so much scope for me to experimenting and trying new things and why not? Being bad is being good.”

Set to hit the silver screen on 27th June, ‘Ek Villain’ also starS Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh who will be seen playing a negative role for the first time.
