Sidharth Malhotra cast in Amar Butala’s independent production?

Amar Butala is the ex-COO of Salman Khan Films and it’s emerged that he is to produce a film soon independently, based on a true event. News has it that Sidharth Malhotra could be playing a lead role in the project.

Although this news if now confirmed, a source in the know explained to E Times that Malhotra has been signed in the film. It’s also being said that Shantanu Baghchi, an ad film director, in on board to direct the film.

Butala will be independently producing this film, as the speculation goes, but could well join hands with a production studio down the line.

The film is expected to roll next year.
