Siddharth Nigam confirmed for TV adaptation of ‘Aladdin’

Television star Siddharth Nigam has been confirmed to play the lead role in the Hindi TV adaptation of ‘Aladdin’.

Nigam shot to fame by playing the young lead in ‘Chakravartin Ashok Samrat’ and more recently ‘Chandra Nandini’. He will now be seen in the new costume drama produced by Nissar Parvez and Alind Srivastava.

Confirming the news to Bombay Times, Nigam said, “Aladdin’ will show me in a different light from what I have been seen in so far on Indian TV. I have mostly done historical shows and this is the first time I will be exploring fantasy and comedy. I am looking forward to donning the Aladdin avatar. He is one of my favourite animated characters.”

It is not yet known, who will play the female lead character of Jasmine.
