Siddharth Jain speaks out about ‘Rock The Shaadi’

BizAsiarecently reported how Abhay Deol spoke against co-producer Siddharth M Jain, stating he was the cause of the shelving of his new zombie flick ‘Rock The Shaadi’. Jain has now hit backsaying that theallegations are false.

Jain wrote a statement, released by Mid-Day,explaining how he had handed the film in which he wrote the script forto Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. He said that if he was the cause of the issues thenthe film could have continued without him.

“Clearly I am not the cause of the delay. It۪s my script and so far 45 minutes of the 90 minutes film has been shot. We made ‘Ragini MMS’, so we know budgets. High concept films cannot be made lavishly and everyone has to cooperate to work in a certain way, which means, thinking outside the box,” he said, pointing out that he is an experienced film-maker whereas Deol isn’t.

Expressing more evidence against Deol’s statements, Jainalso revealedin his statementthat he has six films in the pipeline, “…With film budgets ranging from Rs 5 to 50 crore. We focus on high concept, commercial, youth films. No one would fund us, if we didn۪t know what we were doing.”

Even though both sides of the story are known, it is still unclear as to whats happening with the actual film. Watch this space!
