Siddhanth Kapoor weighs in on nepotism debate

Siddhanth Kapoor, as son of a celebrity, would probably have experienced nepotism in his life, one would think. The actor has recently opened up on the topic.

Kapoor was asked if his father Shakti Kapoor, a well-known actor, helped him along the way. He is quoted by Hindustan Times, “Well, that clearly means that nepotism is utter crap and I’m a live example of that. He [Shakti Kapoor] has never made a single call to any director or producer. I’ve made everything for myself on my own calibre”.

Talking about the nepotism he’s come across in the industry, the actor commented further, “People who don’t have any kaam-dhanda talk about nepotism. I don’t believe in it. Someone from the industry saying that they get opportunities is like declaring that outsiders don’t have any scope here”.

Kapoor will be seen next in ‘Haseena’ in which he will be seen essaying the role of Dawood Ibrahim, the underworld don.
