‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ cast to attend Toronto International Film Festival

The director and cast of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ will be attending the 38th Toronto International Film Festival Asian Summit event in September.

Director Maneesh Sharma and actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra will be attending their film’s screening at the festival on 11th September, as well as TIFF’s Asian Summit event on September 10th. This year’s summit speakers include Keanu Reeves and Hong Kong director Johnnie To.

Director Maneesh Sharma studied directing at CalArts in United States – whose world class faculty and noted alumni include Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow and Tim Burton. As a student at CalArts, Maneesh dabbled in acting, appearing as a thief in the film Trona, which did well on the international film festival circuit.

‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ releases in September.
