Shubhaavi Choksey: “Indian Cinema has taught me so much”

Shubhaavi Choksey, who’s known for a variety of roles in several television shows, opens up about her love for Indian cinema and how it inspires the actor in her.

She says, “Indian cinema has such an ethnic diversity that it inspires me every single time! Be it Hindi or any regional language – there is so much content and so much of multiculturalism that it fascinates me not only as an actor but as an audience too!”

Naming a few films that have really inspired her, she says, “From Dil Chahta Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, 3 Idiots, Lagaan, Rockstar, Jab We Met, Rang de Basanti, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge, Gangs of Wasseypur, Omkara, Kahaani, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Masaan, Swades, In fact, most Mr. Bachchan films like Hum, Sholay, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, and to Baahubali… I mean honestly, the list is endless! These films are phenomenal”.

She further adds, “Indian cinema has taught me many things personally too, about relationships, about failing and then rising, about friendship, about love and dreaming about things that can become reality”.

The actress has recently expressed her interest to take up more challenging roles in the web space, and we definitely would love to see her in various looks on screen.
