After months of speculation, Sony Entertainment Television Asia has confirmed to BizAsia that its under performing show ‘Shubh Vivah’ is coming to an end this month.

The UTV produced show was launched with much fanfare but has not delivered in the ratings. The lead actor Eijaz Khan expressed his unhappiness at the show, which subsequently led to his character Amit being killed off.

The show launched in February this year and will end on Friday 29th June. It will be replaced with the repeat episode of ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’, which has recently been moved to the 23:00 slot. This show, alongside ‘Dekha Ek Khwab’ are also under the scanner and may be next to face the axe.
