Shruti Haasan set for Cannes debut this month

Another Indian cinema actress is all set to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year and it’s none other than Shruti Haasan. She will be at the event for ‘Sangamithra’, her trilingual period film.

Haasan will be unveiling the film there on the opening night on 18th May. She recently told TOI, “I’m excited to take the film to an international audience through such a prestigious platform. The audience across the globe will be able to connect with the story. I’m looking forward to the big day”.

Joining regulars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor will be Haasan and also Amy Jackson for their films. Deepika Padukone, who has also been signed as brand ambassador of L’Oreal Paris India will also be at the event for the first time.
