Shruti Haasan opts out of ‘Baadshaho’

It was reported by BizAsia that Milan Luthria’s directorial ‘Baadshaho’, with Ajay Devgn as male lead, was facing a delay and had been pushed to next year. However, it seems the venture may have suffered a further setback as it is now thought that Shruti Haasan has backed out of the film.

“Shruti and Milan had a few meetings, and she seemed happy with the film�۪s story and her role. Hence, she agreed to it verbally. But she also requested to see a final script before signing on the dotted line. Working with Ajay was also something that made her consider the film strongly,” said an insider to Hindustan Times.

It seems Haasan was unhappy with the script and thought it differed to the narration she had heard of the story intially, “Shruti felt that the character is not cut out for her. So, she decided to give the project a miss, even though she was looking forward to working with Milan”.

Haasan’s dates would also have clashed with her forthcoming projects and therefore she’s decided against the film.
