Shreya Ghoshal crosses 2 million followers on Twitter

On 30th April, singer Shreya Ghoshal reached a staggering 2 million followers on the social networking website – Twitter (www.twitter.com/shreyaghoshal). This is a remarkable achievement considering no other musician or singer from Bollywood has amassed such a following.

Shreya Ghoshal is currently in Switzerland taking a break from her U.K. and European tour. Since arriving for the tour, she’s been awarded at the House of Commons for her services to Bollywood and Music on behalf of the British Indian community. The award was presented to her at an event in Parliament by MPs Virendra Sharma, Barry Gardiner, John Ashworth and Don Foster, Minister for the Department for Communities and Local Government.

She has so far performed to capacity crowds at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, NIA Academy in Birmingham and Newport Centre in Wales.

The remaining tour dates are in Bern (Switzerland) on Friday 3rd May, Zoetermeer (Netherlands) on Saturday 4th May, Leicester on Sunday 5th May and London on Monday 6th May.
